Tax Deducted at Source (TDS): Online rummy platforms are required to deduct TDS at 30% on winnings exceeding ₹10,000 in a financial year. The TDS deducted will be credited to the player’s PAN account.
Advance Tax: If the player’s estimated tax liability from rummy winnings is likely to exceed the basic exemption limit, they may be required to pay advance tax. Advance tax can be paid in installments throughout the financial year.
